1) Scope of Service
We provide roll-off rentals, including delivery, swaps (if offered/available), pickup, hauling, and disposal.
Service is subject to equipment limitations, disposal site policies, weather, site access, safety conditions, and scheduling capacity.
2) Definitions
- Residential Rental: Bundled flat-rate pricing with included tonnage by size.
- Clean Fill Rental: Inert material only, as described below.
- Scale Ticket: Weight receipt from the disposal facility (landfill/transfer station).
- Rental Period: Calendar days from delivery to pickup.
- Trip Charge / Dry Run: A charge for a delivery or pickup attempt that cannot be completed due to site access, obstructions, or unsafe conditions beyond our control.
- C&D: Construction & Demolition debris (mixed building material waste), priced by weight at our standard rate schedule.
3) Acceptance, Authority, and Incorporation Into Order
- You represent that you have authority to place the order and accept these Terms for yourself and/or the property owner.
- These Terms are incorporated into your order and apply to all services provided in connection with your rental.
4) Pricing Models, What’s Included, and Proof
4.1 Residential Rentals (Bundled Flat-Rate)
- Residential rentals are quoted as a bundled flat-rate that includes delivery, the standard rental period, pickup/haul, and disposal up to the included tonnage shown on our Pricing page. Included tonnage varies by dumpster size.
- If the actual scale weight exceeds the included tonnage, overage is billed at see /pricing/ for weight above the included amount and is based on the disposal facility scale ticket.
4.2 Trade / Contractor Rentals (By-Weight)
- Trade/contractor rentals are billed as base rate + disposal by weight, as shown on our Pricing page. The standard rental period for trade/contractor orders is listed on the Pricing page and/or your order confirmation.
- Disposal is billed by weight based on the disposal facility scale ticket at the current posted per-ton rate (see /pricing/), with a 1-ton minimum billed disposal per haul. Loads under 1 ton are billed as 1 ton.
- Right Size Guarantee does not apply to trade/contractor pricing.
4.3 Clean Fill Rentals (Inert Only)
- Clean fill rentals are for inert materials only (such as dirt, concrete, asphalt, brick, and similar inert material), as described on our Materials/Rules pages and Pricing page.
- Rubble Jockey does not bill clean fill by the ton. Clean fill is priced as a flat-rate service, subject to container capacity and safe hauling limits.
- Clean fill reclassification (not a penalty): Clean fill is inert materials only. Any non-inert material—even small items like food wrappers or packaging—may cause the disposal facility to reclassify the entire load as C&D. This is not a penalty we impose; it’s the facility’s classification rule. Reclassified loads are billed by weight using the facility scale ticket at the current posted rate (see /pricing/). We document pickup with photos + the scale ticket so billing stays objective. Policy basis: 401 KAR 47:005 (inert disposal is nonputrescible) and 401 KAR 48:320 (permitted facilities dispose only of allowed waste types).
4.4 Proof for Every Load
- We document loads with pickup photos and the disposal facility scale ticket to support fair, transparent billing. Scale ticket timing/availability depends on the disposal facility.
- Photos are taken at pickup; scale tickets are issued by the facility and may be delayed.
4.5 Pricing Source of Truth
- Current base rates, included tonnage, and size-specific pricing are posted on our Pricing page. Your order confirmation and/or final invoice controls the price and terms for your specific rental. Materials, loading rules, and prohibited items are further described on our Materials/Rules pages, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
5) Rental Period and Additional Days
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
- Residential: 1–7 days included
- Trade/Contractor: 14 days standard
- Clean Fill: 7 days maximum
- Additional days: Additional days beyond the included/standard rental period may be billed at the current posted daily rate (see /pricing/).
- Pickup is not automatic unless scheduled. You (or your project lead) must request pickup when ready. Additional day charges continue to accrue until the dumpster is picked up.
- Rental days are counted in calendar days, including weekends and holidays, beginning on the calendar day of delivery and continuing through the calendar day the dumpster is picked up.
6) Right Size Guarantee (Residential Only)
- Right Size Guarantee applies only to residential bundled flat-rate rentals and only to residential 20-yard orders.
- If the 20-yard dumpster is half full or less by volume AND the scale ticket shows ≤ 1 ton, we credit the rental to 15-yard pricing. Photo and scale ticket proof apply. Weight is the final call.
- If either the volume or the weight condition is not met, the Right Size Guarantee does not apply and 20‑yard pricing remains in effect.
7) Driveway Protection and Property Conditions
- Driveway protection: We include driveway protection at no charge using extreme-duty protection pads, RolliSkates, on deliveries when conditions allow. Pads reduce risk but do not eliminate it.
- Site conditions: Surface and access conditions can increase risk, including soft ground, heat-softened asphalt, steep grades, buried utilities, decorative surfaces, and tight access. If you’re unsure about the spot, text us a photo and we’ll recommend the safest placement. The driver makes the final call and may adjust placement—or recommend an alternate location—when conditions appear unsafe or likely to cause damage.
- Damage caused by driver error is our responsibility; marks or damage attributable to site/surface condition remain the customer’s responsibility.
- Review driveway protection and placement →
8) Placement, Access, and Permits
8.1 Placement
- We’ll work with you to choose a safe, legal placement spot that keeps access clear and avoids blocking sight lines, mailboxes, hydrants, utilities, or required lanes. We’ll place the dumpster where you want it when access is safe and the surface appears suitable, and the driver makes the final call based on safety, ground conditions, and equipment limitations.
- If you need a specific placement, mark the spot with cones or chalk, or text us a photo of the intended location before delivery and we’ll confirm the best placement plan.
8.2 Access and Inaccessible Service
- Access for delivery and pickup: Please make sure we have safe access for delivery and pickup, including adequate clearance, stable ground, and an unobstructed path. If access is blocked—such as by vehicles, locked gates, snow or ice, soft ground, low wires or branches, steep grades, or other obstructions—we may need to reschedule.
- Dry run and extended time: If we make a trip and can’t complete service due to access, a dry-run fee may apply (see /pricing/). Additional days may accrue while access prevents pickup (see /pricing/). Text a photo if you’re not sure.
8.3 LFUCG Street Permits and HOA/POA
-
Street / Right-of-Way Placement (LFUCG Lane Blockage / Street Use Permit — Lexington/Fayette County):
If the dumpster must be placed on a Lexington street or public right-of-way, an LFUCG Lane Blockage / Street Use Permit is required (see official LFUCG details).Per LFUCG (as of v2026.02), this permit is free ($0) but mandatory when blocking any portion of a street in Fayette County.
We can obtain the permit on your behalf; processing typically takes 1–3 business days. HOA/POA approvals remain the customer’s responsibility.
9) Prohibited Materials and Compliance
- You may not place hazardous or prohibited materials in the dumpster, including (not exhaustive): chemicals, asbestos, flammables, medical waste, and radioactive materials.
- If prohibited materials are discovered, you are responsible for all resulting costs, including surcharges, remediation, refusal fees, returns, or special handling charges.
- Prohibited materials also include any items the disposal facility refuses or surcharges (for example: tires, appliances with refrigerant, large batteries, electronics, and liquids), and any other materials listed as prohibited on our Materials/Rules pages or by the disposal facility.

- Do not overload. The dumpster must be safe to lift, tarp (if needed), and haul.
- Safe for transport: Contents must be stable, non-spillable, and compliant with applicable laws and disposal-site rules.
- If it’s unsafe to haul: If a dumpster is overloaded or unsafe to transport, we may require material to be removed or leveled before pickup.
- Delays and extra trips: Delays caused by unsafe loading may result in additional day charges and/or a trip charge if a second visit is required at the current posted rates (see /pricing/).
- No relocation: Do not move or relocate the dumpster without our authorization.
- Max capacity: 15 tons
11) Payment Terms, Charge Authorization, and Late Fees
- Payment is due prior to or upon delivery, unless you are an approved trade account with Net 15 terms.
- Net 15: Net 15 applies to approved trade accounts only. Net 15 late fee: 2% per month.
- Charge authorization: Amounts due may be charged to the payment method on file, including additional day fees, overage, contamination charges, trip charges, or other charges incurred under these Terms.

- You are responsible for keeping the dumpster accessible for pickup and protecting it from being blocked, locked in, or otherwise inaccessible.
14) Indemnification
- Indemnification: Customer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rubble Jockey from claims, damages, losses, fines, penalties, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from the customer’s use of the dumpster and the services, including loading, contents, placement location, access conditions, and actions of third parties, except to the extent caused by Rubble Jockey’s negligence or willful misconduct.
- Operational rules: See Loading & Safety, Access, and Placement & Driveway Protection for the rules that apply to safe transport, access, and placement.

16) Refusal of Service and Termination
- We may refuse or terminate service and remove the dumpster for nonpayment, prohibited materials, unsafe conditions, unlawful use, or breach of these Terms.
- If service is refused or terminated for these reasons, you remain responsible for all fees incurred to that point, including trip charges, additional days, and any costs to remove or remediate prohibited materials.

Terms-Conditions FAQ’s
How does the Right Size Guarantee work?
If you rent a 20-yard dumpster for a residential job and it comes back half full or less and 1 ton or less at the scale, we credit it back to the 15-yard rate. We verify that with the pickup photo and the scale ticket, so it is not a judgment call.
Do I need a permit if the dumpster goes on the street in Lexington?
If the dumpster is going on your driveway or other private property, usually no permit is needed. If it needs to go on a public street in Fayette County, LFUCG requires a Lane Blockage Permit, and there is currently no cost for that permit. If street placement is the right call, we can handle the permit on your behalf. In our experience, it usually takes about a day, but it can take up to three.
How do you verify the final weight?
Every haul is backed by the official scale ticket from the disposal facility. We also take a pickup photo of the load. That gives you clear documentation of what was hauled and what the final weight charge is tied to.
What if I need the dumpster longer than the standard rental?
That happens. Jobs run long, weather shifts, and cleanouts do not always stay on schedule. If you need more time, text us. We can usually help with an extension or a swap so the dumpster keeps up with the job.
How do I avoid extra charges for prohibited items?
The easiest way is to keep prohibited items out of the box from the start. Disposal sites are strict about things like tires, wet paint, car batteries, and hazardous liquids, so we give you a clear Do Not Load list up front. If you run into something questionable during the cleanout, text us a photo and we’ll help you sort it out before it becomes a landfill issue.
How do I know I’m being billed fairly?
We keep it documented. Between the pickup photo, scale ticket, and clearly stated pricing rules, you can see what the charge is tied to. That is the whole point of our system: Right Size. Fair Bill. No Surprises.
