Dumpster Permits & Placement Rules in Lexington, KY
If your dumpster is placed fully on private property, like a driveway or private jobsite, a permit is typically not required. If it needs to sit on a public street, sidewalk, or alley, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) requires a Lane Blockage Permit.

Delivery Clearances & Property Prep
Before delivery, make sure we have enough room to safely place the box. Our trucks generally need about 60 feet of straight-line space to back in and about 20 feet of vertical clearance for tree limbs, wires, and overhead obstructions.
That matters even more in older Lexington neighborhoods where tight approaches, low branches, and overhead lines can turn an easy drop into a problem. A quick site check ahead of time helps avoid delays.
Before we arrive, make sure:
the approach is clear and accessible
cars, trailers, or equipment are moved out of the way
low tree limbs or other overhead obstacles are accounted for
the placement spot is clearly decided in advance

To protect you from landfill fines and rejected loads, we do not accept wet paint, hazardous chemicals, asbestos, car batteries, or tires in our dumpsters. If you are unsure about an item, ask before loading it. It is a lot easier to check first than deal with a problem at the landfill later.
